You can search for projects by either the institution at which the project will be based, a key word associated with the project and whether the project will be a CASE partnered project or a combination of the three.  Please note that applications to CASE partner projects are likely to be favoured in the selection process.  Once you have made your selection using the drop down menu and check box below, press the filter button to display the projects.  Project descriptions can be found by clicking on the title and students are encouraged to contact the supervisors to discuss details of the project, collaboration on the project and training opportunities that might be available.

University of Bristol: How to apply for Bristol projects.  In the programme drop down menu please select the NERC Great Western Four plus Doctoral Training Programme DTP PhD, you can later specify the School of your choice. Please note that you will need to make a separate application for each project.
Cardiff University: How to apply for Cardiff projects
University of Exeter: How to apply for Exeter projects. On the funding form at the link provided, please: i) select the discipline/department of your lead supervisor and ii) select the title of the Award you are applying for (title will start with “NERC GW4+ DTP PhD studentship”)
British Antarctic Survey : How to apply for BAS projects
British Geological Survey : How to apply for BGS projects
Centre for Ecology & Hydrology : Please apply directly to the main supervisor listed under the the project with a CV and cover letter
Natural History Museum : On completion of your application, please send via e-mail to postgradoffice@nhm.ac.uk
